Free Crave Basic with valid Virgin Phone plans
- Deal Link:
- Retailer:
- Virgin
YMMV...
Just looked at my phone account and show that Crave Basic is now listed as a benefit for free.
it shows as "Crave Basic - Value of $9.99" as an add-on to your plan.
If you see this go to the website: vpc.ca/crave to activate it.
Not sure when this was added, but it must be very new.

Bell owns Crave, Bell owns Virgin, the "Basic" tier has ads. Smart - it's revenue generating for both, bump in "paid subscriber" numbers for Crave, and cap of 720P resolution may result in upsale conversions once people try the basic ad tier.

I got an email for this a couple weeks ago
I was on the win back $29 for 35GB deal from black Friday 2023
The price went up to $34
I wonder if they offering crave basic to have people okay with the price increase :/
https://account.bellmedia.ca/register/identifier
^ this is the link they sent to register
Used the email associated with my virgin account as well as my phone number and it went thru
Didn't do any other steps - just that. Maybe give it a try and see if it work

I can put up with ads, especially if free, but 720p is a non starter on a large screen TV.

Yup, got it about one week ago, I was hesitant about posting the deal because I was not sure if it was YMMV or all Virgin customers. You have to check in “Other add-ons” to see if you have it or not. It was automatically added to my account, they sent my an SMS. It’s not on the benefits app/website.
As someone else said, try register here : https://account.bellmedia.ca/register/identifier

It's not listed under the "my benefit" app.
It's actually located under your "my account" app.
This is an add on similar to 1000 long distance minutes ect.

Does anyone know what these titles are on the basic plan?:
"A limited number of titles are unavailable on ad-supported plans due to licensing restrictions"

My 2 yr plan is ending soon, I’m sure that is the reason they gave me free access to it.

I'm the opposite... I signed up on a 2yr plan a few weeks ago and got the offer.

720p is pretty terrible in 2024. Can’t believe they normally charge $9.99 WITH ads for low res.
I’ll stick to Stremio + RD for $4 a month with 4K + HDR & Dolby Vision quality and no ads.

Got the automated text for this last night. 720p with ads is worth nothing so happy it indeed costs nothing. Good enough for the few things I might watch.
